Hana Kassas first started teaching Arabic in Cleveland, Ohio in 1990 once she emigrated from Syria to the United States. She has been teaching in private schools in various communities in the United States since then. Recently, she has been teaching at San Diego State University, and as an afterschool program with Poway Unified School District. She also teaches at Al-Rashid Arabic weekend School. Currently, she teaches at Carver Elementary School as part of a program in corroboration with San Diego Unified School District.
Mrs. Kassas was born and raised in Syria, where she received her education in electrical engineering.
