Dr. Muhammad Eissa د. محمد عيسى

Dr. Muhammad Eissa is a Professor at Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, University of Chicago. He is also President of EISSA & ASSOCIATES, Inc. that does Consulting for Arabic & Islamic Education. He has also taught at Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago; National Middle East Language Resource Center at Brigham Young University, Mellon Lecturer, University of Michigan , College of Arts & Sciences, Northwestern University and The Center for Arabic Studies at The American University of Cairo.

He has a C.Phil in Arabic Literature & Culture from University of California, Los Angeles, and a PhD in Islamic History & Civilization from Al-Azhar University in Cairo.

He has Development a number of educational materials among which are: Contrastive Studies and Analysis of English and Arabic, Functional Language Teaching, Methods of Teaching a Foreign Language, Phonetics and Phonemics, Testing and Evaluation in Language Teaching, Resources for Teaching a Foreign Language (Audio-Visual Aids), and Culture Orientation in Foreign Language Teaching.
