Dr. Mouna Mana د. منى المانع
Ph.D

Dr. Mouna Mana, a graduate of UCLA's School of Education, specializes in formative assessment, Arabic language education, and multicultural and bilingual curricula. Her unique set of linguistic, cultural, and professional skills allow her to address critical issues in education. She is currently Director of Education Development at Alternative Intervention Models (AIM), a nonprofit that specializes in emotional literacy and creative therapy for high-risk youth. Dr. Mana is also currently involved in a model program for Arabic teacher training in collaboration with HADI (a nonprofit) and Cal State San Bernardino. The program, Classroads, has been utilized by other Arabic language teacher training programs here in the U.S. and abroad. Dr. Mana also serves as program coordinator for The Victor Pineda Foundation's Middle East Youth Initiative. Dr. Mana draws from both her professional experience and her personal experiences in teaching Arabic to individuals from across the learning continuum. Additionally, she continues to consult for schools on various subjects from culturally relevant curricula, to language instruction, formative assessment, and differentiated instruction.
